Sorry to hear about the passing of Gibber. He was a true gentleman, a caring person in so many ways. We met in University, I was in Commerce/Arts he was in Phys. Ed. We had some great mutual friends and shared a love of sport, especially ball.
When I moved away to Calgary in 1970 we did not see other that much but when we did we picked up where we left off. In later years, I would see him at the Awl Shoppe or when I was in Saskatoon with one of the University of Calgary Dinos Athletic teams with work.
I remember how kind he was to both my elderly parents who often took repairs to his shop and the respect he showed them.
My sincere sympathy to the entire family. Thanks for the great memories of some good times Gibber.
Sincerely, JACK NEUMANN, Calgary

Gibber and I graduated from UofS in the same class and we had many great times. He was the nicest and most congenial classmate always with a positive view on everything. When Bob had his accident and amputation he never changed this terrific attitude. I learned a lot from Bob about and will always be so grateful to have him as a friend! Condolences to the family, Dave King

Just want to extend our sincerest condolences to Les,Kelly,Jamie and families. Gibber was definitely one of a kind and the most sincere person I have ever met. He was also the only person that knew all the verses to little brown jug and was more than happy to share his talents. On one journey home from the world senior games in St George (a 22 hour trip) Gibber was good enough to share his upbringing and life adventures. It took the whole trip and what an adventure his life was. He will be forever remembered and missed. Larry & Marleen Cook and families

Dear Les, Kelly, Jamie, and all your family,
Memories of Bob always included his eyes that seemed to light up whenever he smiled. We attended many of the same sports events as spectators. It was always fun. Visits to the Awl Shoppe yielded appropriate luggage and service with a smile. Our condolences to you all.

Bob Gibb’s legacy will be that he always sought to include the person in the room he thought to be the least included. A tough, caring guy from an area famous for it’s toughness. Les, we are thinking about you and your family.

Leslie, I am so sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. As one of his friends going through PE together at the U of S, Gibber was one of the good guys. I admired his determination to make weight for his wrestling matches. His infectious laugh was heard around the PE building making everyone smile. His legacy of being a wonderful husband, father and friend will indeed live on. Condolences,
Rick Bell

So sorry to Les and the kids to hear about my good friend's Gibbers passing. Some of my best memories were playing ball for 30 years with him. Especially those ball trips on the may long weekend to havre and greatfalls . The one thing I will not miss is having to drink his BUCKHORN BEER on those trips! I can still hear him singing " Little brown jug " from the back of the van. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the memorial on the 26th .We are out of the country then. Again Les , I send my condolences to you and the kids , he will be greatly missed! ... Randy
