I grew up right next to the Moss family on South Pelham Street in Welland. Fabulous family. Wayne was 4 years older and he was my mentor. He taught me how to work. We would fold the Telegram news papers at Bob’s Texaco at Claire’s Corners and then deliver on his extensive route. One day I took over his route when the family was away. I was too small to handle his bike with a huge metal carriage. I took mine and made 4 trips to complete. I would never let Wayne down.
He was a good baseball player and I would bike to Burgar park to watch him play. I did have scars from Wayne. They were short lived. He loved to shoot me with his BB gun. Those were the days, Wayne.
When I left Welland I was still in touch with Jean, Sharon and Marcia and loved my time with them.
