Time has flown by but the memories linger. Kevin was in my high school class. He was a kind, compassionate guy and a gentleman always. It was a pleasure to have known someone who was genuinely a good person! He was one of the guys you knew would help you if needed, save you from the class bully or have a chuckle over something. Shocked to hear such ugly news. My sincere condolences to all Kevin’s family.

Kevin was my field training officer, FTO, when I came out of police college. Kevin embodied all that you would hope for in a police officer; honesty, integrity, decency, kindness, and understanding. He delivered these constituents at a level that provided comfort to the most beleaguered soul or fellow police officer. I am proud to say that Kevin was my mentor and I strove to model my own professional behavior upon his example. There is a sense of deep loss in the knowledge that he has passed away. His presence in this world was always a great comfort to me; it is a lesser place for his absence. I wish to express my sincerest sympathy to Wanda and their Family. Farley Maddaford

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Kevin's passing. I worked with Kevin briefly in 1998 when I was a wet-behind-the-ears Special Constable/9-1-1 operator with SPS. I was on the same platoon as Kevin and enjoyed every interaction with him. I was only 28 years old at the time and I recall thinking what an extremely handsome man he was! And not only was he handsome, he was so very nice and I truly respected the way he policed. I learned so much from him and all the other officers. Kevin and I also had a connection to Wynyard, SK as that's where I was from and if my memory serves me correctly, I believe he or his wife had a tie to there as well. To his wife, I am so very sorry for your loss...Kevin was so young and I'm sure you had so many plans for the years ahead. To his children, you lost a wonderful dad and losing a parent is so very hard. To you all, I know there are no words that can take away your pain and sorry but please know I'm sending you strength as you endure this awful time and grief's difficult journey. Take good care of each other.

Wanda and family.
My condolences to you and your family. Kevin and I were campers and then counsellors at St John Bosco
Camp my gosh back in the 70’s. He joined the force in 77’ and me in 79. Enjoyed working with him in B platoon.
So many good memories back in the good old days.
God speed Kevin.

Wanda, Brian, Cara and families - Kevin was truly one of 'the good guys'. I worked with him on B platoon during the 1980's - he was always a joy to be around. Hardworking, always smiling and willing to try anything. One of his best stories was about the time the SPS dive team was practising at Diefenbaker Dam. He said he was very glad to be wearing a wet suit when a sturgeon bigger than he was swam past the divers! He was one of earlier members of the Emergency Response Team and as a fitness enthusiast, he even started an exercise class at SPS at a time when the gym held only donated machines and free weights.
He fought his diagnosis with dignity and lots of optimism - his last text to me mentioned how he was looking forward to spring and seeing many of the retired guys for lunch.
Wanda, I hope you know how much Kevin appreciated you - especially during the difficult last few years. The grandchildren will hear lots of great stories about Kevin in the years to come and I hope they bring the family some joy and comfort.

So sad to read about Kevin's passing. I really appreciated his assistance when I was a member of the Victim Services group with the Saskatoon Police Service. His insight of the problems victims of crime faced was truly remarkable.
He will be missed. Heartfelt sympathy to his wife and family.

We are so sorry for Kevin’s passing. He was a big part of so many people’s lives. A larger-than-life man and an all around good guy. He was kind and considerate to all those around him and a great guy to work with. We are honoured to have all the wonderful memories of the times together we had with him whether it was riding motorcycle or watching him sky dive. He will be missed.

My condolences to Wanda and family on the passing of Kevin, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. I had the fortunate experience of being Kevin’s neighbour for several years across the grid on the acreage. Chatting from time to time one could tell that he was a man of genuine integrity and honesty. I had known of his work with Dragonfly flying drones and was watching a TV show on Sasquatch tracking where they had Kevin flying a drone above the forest where the trackers had thought they may find the evidence of the elusive creature. I met Kevin in the Tempo one day after this episode and questioned him rigorously on what they found if anything at all. He was forthcoming and played down his participation in the show as I had thought him to be somewhat of a local celebrity, and he again played down being any kind of celebrity. I am sure he will be sadly missed by all his family and those that came to know him.

I am so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. We did not work together early in our policing careers but during the last 2 or 3 years at SPS we shared similar administrative paths. We had good discussions and shared experiences. I enjoyed his sense of humour. He was a kind and considerate person who will be sadly missed in your family circle.

So sorry to hear about Kevin's passing. I was in the same class as Kevin in Regina at police college, Class #10, Early 1979. Kevin was a steady, smart and dedicated member of the SPS, I was on the ERT team with him in the early 80's. Kevin will be missed by all who he had contact with.
My Condolences to Wanda and the family.

Wanda, I am very sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. I just remember where our lives crossed at the Saskatoon Police Department, and Kevin was "one of the good guys" on B Platoon if I remember right back when I worked as a CPIC operator. He was a fine officer, fun and pleasant, and you were a great team together. I am so sorry.

Our condolences go to all of Kevin’s family, Elsie and I both remember growing up and going to school with Kevin in Colonsay, unfortunately our paths didn’t cross after that. He was very kind, caring and an easy guy to like. RIP
