My condolences To all of Vi’s family on her passing . We have many memories of Jim and Vi as the Heward store was a meeting place for all in town . And they were always so kind when one of us had to visit their residence above the store for a much needed item . Jim always called me Tex as I apparently couldn’t say six ! Vi was upset with Penny and I as their store was the meeting place for school bus which took us to Stoughton for grades 9-12. Mrs Stalker was upset one time the bus was late and Penny and I initiated a rebellion NOT to get on the bus once it arrived. We were ordered to get on that bus and then the Principal called Penny into the office - sorry about that Penny . We had many good times in Heward and many memories . Vi had a good long life and she will be missed by all of you . Linda Stuart ( Engel)
