We were so saddened to hear of Kathy’s’ passing. That voice of hers with her pleasurable accent is etched in so many of us who have had the pleasure of her friendship. I was fortunate to continue this friendship once the 96th years concluded; away from the Monday night practices, Wednesday night Bingos’ and those long weekend bus trips to various competitions (I am sure that Mary, Lorna and Darlene have many a roommate story). Her laughter. Her stories. Her directness. Her love of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had her beam with such pride. Kathy wouldn’t want us to be sad – she would us to continue celebrating life. And that is what we must try to do. We know that she is with you…with us. Cherish the memories. Speak freely of her. Know that she is looking down on us, listening and laughing with us.
With our deepest and most sincere condolences and wishes for all your tomorrows, one day at a time. Take care and hold onto each other tightly.
