Been thinking about you guys constantly since I received the news last week. Such a tragedy. I've been thinking about all the ways having Curt around added to my life -- the dishwasher that he spontaneously installed for us while passing through town (after it sat for more than a year in the basement), to the car his family lent me during my days at Augustana, to the summer I spent living at his place in Wynyard 20 years ago, working at Big Quill. I remember him driving the bobcat from the plant to the house in Wynyard, a trip that had taken him something like 3 hours, if I recall correctly. He did a lot of laughing as I recall, and others laughed a lot more when he was around. And even if we didn't see him very often in the last few years, nevertheless, there is a big void in our lives where he used to be. There will come a day, in time, when that void will contain many precious memories of the gifts that he was to us. And one day we shall be reunited. --- a day whose date none of us can predict, as the tragic circumstances of Curt's death reminds us. We love you guys. We are so sorry for your loss. Prayers for Jan's speedy healing from her injuries -- prayers for Andrew and Lori and their families in their grief --- We love you guys. Peace be with you all.
